 1.  T MORGAN¹ BARKER was born January 28, 1855 in Arkansas, and died February 13, 1911.  He married AMANDA Abt. 1873.  She was born March 1854 in Arkansas.

February 23, 1911

        It was Monday morning the 13th of Feb. 1911, that the Death Angel visited the home of Barker near Sulphur Springs, depriving them of what seemed most dearest on earth to them, the precious husband and loving father T.M. Barker.  He was 56 years old.  He leaves a wife and eight children to mourn his loss, also many relatives and friends.   Morgan was a devoted Christian, a true husband, a loving father and on obliging neighbor.  He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.   Morgan had been ill will with dropsy for some time.  He was prepared to go, although his wishes were to live; but God know best.

        To the bereaved family we would say, mourn not, for he is at rest, but rather look forward to the time when you will be a reunited family in Heaven, where there will be no death, no sickness, no sorrows, no parting.  Let us all strive to live so that when our summons come, look up, mother and loved ones, with an eye of faith for just within the Pearly Gates he is watching and waiting for you, and some sweet day if we will live faithful, we shall join him in the City of God, there to dwell forevermore with Jesus and all the pure loved ones who walk the Golden Streets of the New Jerusalem.  God help us all to live faithful unto the end.
